Greek-owned Skyline Restoration Inc., one of the top building restoration firms in the New York metropolitan area, held its 8th Annual Charitable Golf Classic at the Village Club of Sands Points on July 11.
“Today was an amazing success. Over eight years, this event has developed a life of its own,” the company’s president, John Tsampas said as over 130 golfers came out to represent 34 teams to help support the mission of the Skyline Charitable Foundation in its efforts to raise funds for various causes.
The record-breaking fundraising yielded $115,000 this year and will be distributed to several charities including Smile Train, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The New York Center for Children, and African Soul, American Heart (ASAH).
This annual event was the first to bring in 6-figure donations as Skyline Restoration’s marketing director, Eva Hatzaki enthusiastically commented in a statement published on the company’s website.
“This year’s event was wonderful, and the connection between participants, charities supported and the Skyline team was stronger than ever. We’re extremely grateful for the support that has been shown, and we’re excited to see what next year will bring!” she commented.
Skyline Restoration’s CEO John Kalafatis was equally pleased as he commented about the success of the annual event.
“Year after year this event has grown, becoming larger and more successful each time and we are now able to support more worthwhile causes. We’re very glad to be able to play our part in giving back to the community,” Kalafatis said.
