US Election Poll: Show the Power of the Greek-American Vote

We ask you to take a few seconds out of your busy day and participate in our survey aiming to find out how the Greek-American vote could influence the upcoming US election. And you just may be the lucky one who gets to stay at Santorini’s best hotel collection for two nights on us.

Greek Reporter partnered with Signet Research to conduct a survey on how Greek Americans would vote in the upcoming US election, and also find out if the so-called “Greek issues” matter to voters.

Greek-Americans aren’t the largest ethnic group in the United States but they could still influence the outcome of the election significantly. According to the 2007 U.S. Census Bureau estimates, there were 1,380,088 people of Greek ancestry in the U.S. while the State Department reports that around 3,000,000 Americans claim to be of Greek descent. The 2000 census revealed that Greek was spoken at home by 365,436 people older than five.

With Greece at an economic dead-end, the U.S. is in a position to help the crisis-hit country significantly if its leadership decides so. The next US President could affect decisions in the international political arena on issues such as the refugee crisis, the long-running negotiations over the FYROM name question, the Ecumenical Patriarchate and religious freedom in Turkey, the reunification of Cyprus, and many more.

Our Greek Diaspora poll aims to better understand the power of the Greek-American vote and its motivations. In taking our survey, you will be helping us demonstrate the influence of Greek Diaspora in US politics and you will also be participating automatically in our sweepstakes to win two nights on Santorini’s Aqua Vista hotels. We value your opinion, and would very much appreciate if you take a few seconds to respond to the questions below. Thank you.
