Watch "Pistevo – I Believe": A Unique Documentary About Iconography in the Greek Orthodox Church

Watch “Pistevo: I Believe,” a unique documentary about the importance of iconography in the Greek Orthodox Church and our interview with executive producer Michael Psaros.

The film is the result of a year’s effort by a group of professional documentarians and filmmakers, and sponsored by Michael and Robin Psaros and family. Through vivid imagery and insightful interviews, this epic film expresses why Greek-Orthodox honor the traditions of their theology and shares this spiritual experience with the world. The movie focuses on the struggle of Father Elias G. Villis to complete an iconography project for his Parish at the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour in Rye, NY.

Fatehr Villis believed that bringing the iconography project to fruition was the will of God, and he found support for the project by Michael and Robin Psaros, two Greek-American parishioners.

We spoke to executive producer Michael Psaros (also the managing director of KPS Capital Fund) about supporting this film and the importance of iconography in the Greek Orthodox Church.

Watch our interview with Michael Psaros below:

Traditionally, vibrant images of the saints and martyrs have adorned the walls of Orthodox Christian churches as part of its theology throughout the world.
