Upstate New York Museum Exhibits Photos Donated by George Stephanopoulos

clickbannerThe Hyde Collection, an art museum in the city of Glens Falls in upstate New York has announced the official opening of an exhibition featuring photographic prints donated by Greek-American journalist George Stephanopoulos.

The exhibition entitled “Click!” will open on March 21 and it aims at showcasing works from significant photographers. “Twelve photographers representing a wide range of artistic expression and subject matter – each image a masterwork of observation, vision and artful control of this seemingly simple but complex medium. The George Stephanopoulos Collection was acquired by The Hyde in 2014 and it is the first time these images will be shown to the public at The Hyde in a gallery setting,” notes the museum’s website.

In April 2014, Stephanopoulos, an American television journalist and former U.S. Democratic Party political advisor, donated around 130 photographs from renowned photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Yousuf Karsh to the Hyde Collection. Since the Museum had already been planning on creating a photography exhibition, they gladly accepted the offer and organized the exhibition that will run from March 21 to May 31, 2015.
