This bold building design from renowned Russian architect Vasily Klyukin was inspired by Winged Victory of Samothrace, a marble sculpture of Greek goddess Nike, crafted sometime around 200 BC.
Klyukin is hoping to bring an ancient Greek sculpture to life in a the form of a building.
“I wanted to compete in beauty, playing with the acts and forms,” Klyukin said. “I just couldn’t bypass the goddess of beauty and victory with my attention.”
However, the architect’s design does not currently have a home – although, based on the digital renderings, Klyukin might like it to be on the waterfront. Two possible candidates are Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
