Illiana Papageorgiou, a 26 year-old model from Patras, southern Greece has been conquering the American fashion world since winning the title of Miss Universe 2011 and has collaborated with famous fashion houses such as Dolce&Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli.
The hellenic beauty now lives and works in New York, and although she has managed to make her dreams come true and her life resembles a fairy tale, she still misses Greece , her family and her boyfriend.
Papageorgiou says that fame and recognition haven’t created problems in her life. “When I have no make-up on, people don’t recognize me,” she says. Papageorgiou believes that confident men without insecurities don’t hesitate to flirt with beautiful women. Finally, she believes that physical appearance isn’t that important as the person’s personality and inner world.
