George Stephanopoulos, former adviser to President Bill Clinton and current ABC-TV morning show anchor, has donated about 130 images by several important photographers to an upstate New York museum.
As reported by officials at The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, Stephanopoulos has donated 128 photos by 14 photographers, including Henri Cartier-Bresson. The director of the museum Charles Guerin stated that Stephanopoulos,upon becoming aware of two photography exhibitions on display at the museum, offered to donate part of his collection. Stephanopoulos has stated that the museum, which is known for its Rembrandt and Picasso pieces, is the “perfect home” for his photographs.
