Greek Startups in Texas

Greek-Startups-in-TexasThe participation of 16 Greek high-tech enterprises in the 2014 “Startup Village” at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin Texas, in March, proves that despite the current financial crisis in Greece, the innovation field is developing fast.

This will be the first time that so many newly founded Greek startup companies will appear simultaneously at one forum abroad.  The Greek startups that will be presented in Texas are: Amen Technologies, eConais, GridMates, Hypertech, Intelen, Meazon, Mobiltron, Moosend, PeekInToo, Pinnatta, QReca, Rabt, Rocketgraph, Resin.io, Schoox and Terranova.

Yiannis Broustas the head of Rabt, a personalized mobile video application, reported that the participation of Greek companies is an opportunity to present on an international level, some of the strong examples of Greek creativity and innovation. Rabt was among the winners of the Greek Entrepreneurship Awards of 2013.

The interactive festival SXSW (South by South West) in Austin, Texas will take place from March 7 to March 16, 2014. It was launched in 1994 as a musical event, however, it has gradually become the leading technological event, introducing the public to the most ambitious talents and most creative innovative ideas and products in the field of high technology. World famous applications such as Twitter and Foursquare were presented for the first time in SXSW Festival.
