Greek Olympiacos’ Charity Actions in Chicago

Olympiacos charityThe Greek football team Olympiacos continues its philanthropic mission abroad, and specifically in Chicago. The Olympiacos Soccer School Chicago, has until now financially supported three hospitals.

On December 26, members of the Olympiacos Soccer School Chicago visited the Greek-American Rehabilitation and Care Centre. The young athletes offered gifts, many smiles and support to the patients.

The next month, on January 17, Olympiacos school visited the “Edward” hospital in Naperville. There, they offered a generous sponsorship to hospitalized children who needed someone to support them and make them happy. School athletes were escorted by John Kosmas, Director of Operations and Nikos Mirtsekis, Director of Coaching.

On January 18, another donation was made, this time to the “Advocate Children’s Hospital” in Park Ridge. “Such charity actions are very valuable for our hospital. They help us improve patients’ life and for this we are very grateful. We really appreciate Olympiacos donation. As a non-profit organization we really depend on such donations in order to improve our services,” stated Mary Kozil, Director of Development of the hospital.

“Olympiacos FC values and supports programs that benefit children in need. We are excited that our contribution will help various programs and enable children of all ages to get the services and assistance they need to overcome all of their health obstacles,” stated Vaggelis Marinakis, President of Olympiacos FC.
