The United States once again expressed their deep concern for Christodoulos Xeros and his taped message with threats of violence.
The U.S. is “deeply concerned that the convicted terrorist Christodoulos Xeros, a key member of the terrorist organization 17 November, responsible for killing five employees of the U.S. embassy, remains at large and is now reportedly sending new prompts for violence,” a State Department official said.
The official added that the U.S. is working with Greeks involved in the case, saying “we continue to urge the Greek government to locate Xeros and return him to prison. As noted last week by Secretary of State John Kerry, before his meeting with the Greek Foreign Minister, the U.S. and Greece are partners in the fight against terrorism. We continue to work closely with the Greek authorities in dealing with those who use violence in an effort to achieve their goals.”
