Greek Student Wins 3rd Place in Microsoft World Championship

microsoftChris Fiamegos, a 15-year-old Greek student of the Knowledge Dynamics Academy, won 3rd place in the Microsoft World Championship. Two years ago, the 15-year-old student of the Academy, Giorgos Tryfonas, earned 5th place in the same contest.

The World Championship of Microsoft addresses students of all nationalities. In 2013, more than 650,000 participants from 90 different countries took part. The top 100, participated in the finals that took place in Washington DC, on August 2013. The awards of the finals are money prizes, scholarships in universities and colleges and job opportunities in top IT companies.

Knowledge Dynamics Academy offers to two Greek expatriate students — with high potential in computing — between the ages of 13 and 22 years old two full scholarships in order to prepare for their participation in the Microsoft World Championship 2014.

These scholarships cover the preparation for the contest following the electronic academic course in an e-class, under the guidance of  Alexis Georgantidis, the Academic Director. Apart from the IT skills, the contest preparations will contribute to the development of the candidates’ analytical skills, preparing them for their Academic years.

Knowledge Dynamics Academy gives Greek students the chance to develop their IT skills, to become part of one of the biggest IT teams.

In the 2014 contest, more than 1,000,000 students are expected to participate. The 100 finalists will compete in California, in August 2014.
