Augie Pantellas to Make History as Oldest Fighter in a Boxing Match

Greek-American professional boxer Augie Pantellas hasn’t fought in a pro match in 34 years, but he has stayed in shape. The 70 year-old Broomall,Pa resident who regularly put 10,000 people at the Spectrym for his fights in the 70’s and former featherweight boxing contender will shoot for sports and boxing history as the oldest man to ever be in a professional boxing match. Representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records will be in attendance to verify the record.The fight will take place in June 2014 (details will be announced soon).

“I am looking to bring in Fitness Guru Richard Simmons to help train Augie along with my dad who trained Augie 30 years ago Marty Feldman,” says promoter Damon Fieldman.

“Augie is in fantastic condition in better shape then a lot of professionals, we are not looking to win the world championship, but you never know.”

“I am so excited about this! Who thought we would make sports history and the Guinness Book of World Records right here in Philadelphia area, we are representing Delaware County here,” says Feldman.

Augie is a father, and married to a 35 years younger wife. They reside in Broomall, PA.
