On the evening of September 23, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, will host a reception in honor of the heads of the delegations for the UN General Assembly. Foreign Minister of Greece, Evangelos Venizelos, will be there.
On the same evening, the Greek finance minister and deputy prime minister in the Samaras cabinet will attend a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoğlu as part of his participation in the Ministerial Week of the 67th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. Their meeting will take place at the Press and Communication Office of the Permanent Representation of Greece to the United Nations.
During the meeting of the two foreign ministers, issues concerning bilateral relations as well as issues of the area are expected to be discussed. Venizelos and Davutoğlu also held a meeting in July and, as it was then announced, the Foreign Minister of Turkey is planning to visit Athens in November or December 2013.
