The security of the New York Port Authority has been assigned to Greek-American Louis Koumoutsos in recognition of his exemplary service and of the rescuing and protection of residents and visitors of New York on the deadly disasters of September 11 and the emergency that arose during Hurricane Sandy.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s portfolio of vital infrastructure and services includes JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia Airports, and a 1,600-member Police Department.
