The digital artist Zach Dougherty from Portland, USA uses ancient Greek sculptures as his base and then digitizes them, composing dazzling animated GIF photos.
The artist, talking to Mashable, reported that he works with GIF photos because he enjoys “the challenge to take whatever he wants from a few stills.”
GIF are image archives, which have some specific particularities in relation with other types of image archives.
Animated GIF is the simplest form of motion that can be added to a website. This is about a series of photos or graphics that alternate automatically, giving the observer the illusion of movement.
