N.Y. Investors Keen On Greece

BCIU-Global-AdvisorsA closed breakfast with 25 leading U.S. investment entities under the auspices of the international consulting firm BCIU Global Advisors was the crowning event of a two-day conference in New York by Greece to lure American investors.

The sponsor is a subsidiary of the Foundation Business Council for International Understanding, founded by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1955 to bring together American interests with other countries.

“The interest in Greece was without precedent,” the President of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Yiannos Grammatidis said concerning the presentations of Greek economy.

The Chairman of Hellenic Exchanges Group,  Socrates Lazaridis, who along with his adviser of the privatization agency TAIPED Andreas Tapratzis and Grammatidis participated in the breakfast. The consulting firm operates in more than 170 countries and is a key training provider for government agencies.

The interest of Americans, who have started studying Greece and the recovery prospects,  focused apart from the Stock Exchange and bonds, in the investments in the field of waste management, renewable energy, gambling and hotels.
