Greek-Australian designer Nikki Poulos garnered lots of attention during her run on NBC’s television hit, “Fashion Star.” And now, with her keen eye for design, Poulos, who started her “Nikki Poulos” label in 1998, has launched a successful (and more affordable) line on the Home Shopping Network this month, “Nikki by Nikki Poulos.”
The talented designer appeared on the first season of “Fashion Star.” With mentors like Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and Greek-American designer John Varvatos, fashion industry hopefuls compete on the show to potentially have their clothes bought by top-name chains, including Macy’s, Express, and H&M, to name a few.
Leaving Sydney, Australia to now base her business in Florida, Poulos’ collection reflects her love of vintage inspired styles, sassy prints and bold colors. Her fascination with old Hollywood glamour and the icons of fashion, film and art, alongside her love of the great outdoors, inspires and influences her styling to create a line that represents modern boho chic. She has built quite a following, and has been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Elle, Lucky and Fitness magazines, and the European version of the hit show “Next Top Model.”
