Archdiocese, AHEPA’s Sympathies to Boston Victims’ Families

Boston_bombThe largest Greek-American association in the world, AHEPA expressed its deep condolences to the families of the victims of the terrorist attack in Boston. The President of AHEPA, John Grosomanidis, said “our thoughts are with the injured, their families, the people of Boston and all those affected by this violent attack”

The announcement notes that the marathon, especially for the Greeks of the Diaspora, is an important event through which we improve our skills and inspire new generations. AHEPA said that “Rescue teams and authorities of Boston with their immediate response to the incident, passed the true spirit of the marathon.”

The Holy Archdiocese of America issued an announcement stating that ‘Shocked and grieving for the tragic events of yesterday’s horrible and atrocious terrorist attack in Boston, we turn our thoughts and our prayers to the innocent victims and their families. We unequivocally condemn all violence and acts of terrorism such as yesterday’s, which causes the justified indignation of all people honoring the value of human life, liberty and justice.’
