Following incidents of bombs placed outside the homes of journalists and shots being fired at the political party office of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras in Greece, the United States has condemned the growing number of political violence outbreaks in the country, StateĀ Department spokesman Victoria Nuland said.
When asked about the “terrorist attacks” against journalists in Greece and the offices of the current ruling party of New Democracy, Nuland stressed that “we obviously condemn the recent violence in Greece.”
Moreover, the State Department spokesman called on Greek citizens to express their views “in peaceful protests,” adding that, “There is never an excuse for them to resort to violence.”
