Andrew Liveris, President, Chairman and CEO of Dow Chemical received Capital Link’s Leadership Award on the eve of that organization’s “14th Annual Investor Forum – Greece” whose theme this year was “Building a New Greece.” The award is given to individuals and organizations who contribute to forging links between Greece and the international business community. Liveris was cited for his role in the creation on The Hellenic Initiative, a global non-profit, non-governmental organization “that aims to provide critical funding to inspire entrepreneurship, business development and investment in Greece.” The guests at the kick-off dinner hosted by Capital Link Founder Nicolas Bornozis included Greek officials and a veritable who’s who of Greek-American business leaders. In his keynote address Liveris made a presentation about what the Diaspora can do to help Greece.
