Greek architecture, Minas Kosmidis, is the winner of the Best of the Year Awards organized by the American magazine Interior Design in the casual dining category for his project Fabrica Kreaton.
Kosmidis received the award in a special ceremony held in New York for his architectural work and design of the restaurant Farma Kreaton, located in the center of Komotini. Kosmidis’s team created minimalist, hand-drawn graphics and cut-outs of cows, chickens and countryside scenery that sets the whimsical barn-yard chic tone to the entire space, in a 50’s style.
“This award is a special honor and recognition not only for my work, but also my country, which is in a difficult period right now,” Kosmidis told AMNA. Kosmidis from Komotini, graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he studied architectural engineering, and continued his studies in Paris. He opened two offices, one in Komotini, and one in Thessaloniki
After New York, he will travel to China, where he will be honored in a similar contest.
