
In view of the upcoming US elections on Nov.6, the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) assessed the Members of Parliament and Congress. The assessment was based on the lawmakers’ attitude to expatriate issues in the USA and the way Greek and Cypriot issues were voted for during their tenure.
Every time there are elections in the USA, AHEPA compiles a list with Congress Members’ political positions so that people of Greek descent are informed before voting.
Among the United States senators, Robert Menendez and Benjamin Cardin, Members of the Democratic Party, and Olympia Snowe, Member of the Republican Party got the highest rate, 100%. From the House of Representatives, Republican Gus Bilirakis and Democratic Carolyn Maloney were estimated to get the highest rates.
