Earth Friendly Products, a leader in manufacturing award-winning eco-friendly cleaning products, will officially open its doors at the company’s new Southeastern Regional facility in Opa-locka on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
The new facility is reputed to be among the most eco-friendly manufacturing plants in Florida. The building where the new Earth Friendly Products plant is located was completely retrofitted to meet or exceed standards for green commercial building construction.
Designed and built with an array of key sustainable features, highlights of Earth Friendly Products’ new regional plant include a roof covered with solar panels that provide clean, renewable power and make the facility energy self-sufficient, and flooring made of durable and sustainable bamboo throughout the building.
The company plans to roll out a “green carpet” for its gala opening celebration, conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and give tours of the new plant for government officials, guests and the media.
Earth Friendly Products has earned recognition and honors from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, governors of several states and leading non-profit, independent organizations, such as Healthy Child Healthy World, for its integrity and dedication to the development of products that are safe for people, pets and the environment. Recently, Earth Friendly Products was given the coveted Pollution Prevention Award of 2012 from the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable in Washington, D.C.
