ATHEX Greek Roadshow Coming to N.Y.

With 15 listed companies, 43 funds, 52 analysts and 234 set meetings, the 6th Annual Greek Roadshow will be held from October 9 to 11 in New York under the aegis of the Hellenic American Chamber. This year’s Greek Roadshow aims at informing international investors about the privatization projects running in Greece.

The delegation consists of  Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni, Deputy Minister of Development Notis Mytarakis, the Executive Director of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund Yiannis Emiris, and the President of Invest in Greece agency, Aris Syggros.

The event is organized by the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX), as a two-day event series hosted every year to keep international investors up-to-date with Greek market developments. The Greek side will emphasize in energy and real estate, while the Chairman of the Hellenic American Chamber Yiannos Grammatidis underlined the importance of responsibly informing foreign investors about the structural reforms taking place in the debt-rid country. He noted that establishing the Greek Investment Forum in New York marks the first institutional entry of the country back to the international markets in order to restore its credibility.

ATHEX President Socrates Lazaridis claimed that the event will show that the Greek market holds benefits for investors, such as low capitalization rates and that the value of trade in the Greek stock exchange is close to the European average value, despite the roller-coaster ride on which it has taken investors during a crushing economic crisis.
