Pancyprian Freedom Wins NY Soccer Cup

Every Greek- and Cypriot-American fan of Pancyprian Freedom football club was very happy by this year’s results as the team managed to get the New York Soccer cup.

Phrases like “they played well,'”or “the results were good” can not do justice to its victory as it beat the New York United soccer team by a score of 4-0. The Pancyprian players may have wanted the cup more than the United, something they accomplished.

“This trophy belongs to everyone,” said the team secretary Lefteris Eliades, who congratulated and acknowledged the Pancyprian players, who did their best to bring about this victory. He also thanked the fans of the team who always follow their team in every game, even with good or bad scores.  He thanked the members of the council, the coach and his whole team, but also the President of Pancyprian Freedom, Philip Christopher.

Many fans of Pancyprian watched the game and saw their beloved team beating United 3-0 during the first 20 minutes of the match. Vlahos scored the fourth goal for the Pancyprian and changed the score to the final 4-0 for his team.
