The group “All Together for Hellenism” by Elias Tsekerides was by far the winner of the elections held by the Federation of Hellenic Societies of the Greater New York.
The elections were held last Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm. 178 representatives of the 86 institutions who have the right to vote participated.
The President of the Electoral Commission, Mr Apostolos Tomopoulos, expressed his satisfaction with the organization of the elections and announced the 2012 results. According to the votes, the group “All Together for Hellenism” by Elias Tsekerides got 111 votes, while the “Greek American Revival” by Konstantis Lambrakis got 59 votes.
The following board members were elected in the Tsekerides’ group: Elias Tsekerides-President, Petros Galatoulas-General Secretary, Christos Vournas- First Vice-Rresident, Apostolos Skotidas-Treasurer.
