Greek actor Gerasimos Skiadaresis, who stars in the movie “Appartamento ad Atene (Apartment in Athens),” directed by Ruggero Dipaola, was awarded Best Actor at the 13th Newport Beach Film Festival, USA.
The film won four awards in multiple categories. Gerasimos Skiadaresis was awarded Best Actor, while Ruggero Dipaola and Heldrun Scheef won Best Screenplay. The movie was given two more awards – Best Feauture Length Film and Best Cinematography for the work of Vladen Radovic.
The film follows an Athenian family during the Nazi occupation of 1943, and follows the drama that threatens the relationship between father and son as well as the challenges the choices a family must make to survive.
The film “Apartamento ad Atene” was released for the first time in Greece at the Tutto Italia film festival, which took place in Athens April 19-25.
