The Washington team of Up Greek Tourism, a private initiative to promote Greek Tourism announced that their funding target of $10,000, for a billboard in Washington, DC has been met. The new UP Greek Tourism Washington D.C. billboard will be in the American capital very soon.
The creative message is expected to help shape positive attitudes about Greece as an ideal vacation destination, especially this summer!
Greeks from all across the world were called to help fund the project through www.loudsauce.com.
Tourism represents 15-18% of Greece’s Gross Domestic Product & 20% employment. Supporting tourism impacts the effort to jumpstart Greece’s economy—vital to emerging from Greece’s economic situation, suggest the website.
