The United States support the negotiations, under the auspices of the UN Secretary General’s Good Offices Mission, to reach a settlement reunifying Cyprus as a bi zonal, bi communal federation, Assistant Secretary of State Philip Gordon has said.
Gordon was speaking after a meeting with Kudret Ozersay, advisor to Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu.
The meeting was part of regular consultations that the State Department conducts with all parties in the Cyprus talks, he added.
