Pyx Lax Rock Terminal 5 in NYC (Video)

Pyx Lax, probably the most famous Greek Rock band,  rocked a sold out Terminal 5 in New York City. It is estimated that 2,500 fans attended the concert. Roy Orbit, a Greek band from Brooklyn opened the concert, followed by the Greek/Armenian band Viza from Los Angeles. Pyx Lax came on stage approximately at 9:30pm and played until midnight in front of a Greek-American audience who felt nostalgic and traveled into past moments in Greece. Pix Lax along with their fans sang some of their all time hits.

The group was originally formed in 1989 by three childhood friends: Φίλιππος Πλιάτσικας (Filippos Pliatsikas), Μπάμπης Στόκας (Mpampis Stokas), and Μάνος Ξυδούς (Manos Xydous). Pix Lax released their first recording in 1990. Their songs focus on living in lower-class inner-city areas, like the narrow streets of the Western part of Athens, where they grew up. They achieved high critical acclaim and commercial success within the Greek music industry throughout their fifteen-year-old  career, which culminated when the band dissolved in 2004 but reunited after the death of  Manos Xidous.

Pyx Lax will continue their North American Tour playing in the House of Blues in Boston n Sunday March 3rd followed by the House of Blues in Chicago on Friday, March 9th and the The Danforth Music Hall Theatre in Toronto Canada. There was a rumor that they will play in Los Angeles as well but nothing has been confirmed yet based on the ticket sales.

Pix Lax has announced that after the North American Tour  they will end their career.
