Littleton High School Latin Students Awarded For Identifying Greek Derivatives

Seven Littleton High School Latin students who participated in the National Classical Etymology Exam (NCEE), offered by the National Junior Classical League, have been recognized for their performance.

The NCEE is designed to test a student’s ability to handle both Latin and Greek derivatives and their usage in the English language.

The 2011-2012 academic year is the second year in which the National Junior Classical League sponsored this online examination.

Earning a Gold Medal at the Advanced Level (grades 11 and 12) were seniors David McDougall and Isaiah Thomas. Silver Medal winners in the Advanced Level were seniors Emily Derrig, Rachel Marshall and Alicia Whitney. Senior Patrick Mealey and junior Virginia Walker earned Bronze Medal Recognition at the Advanced Level.
