George Stephanopoulos Talks About his Greek Roots

George Stephanopoulos is one of the most influential Greek-American people and was known to the Greek-American community before he became internationally famous.

Since his childhood, it was believed that Stephanopoulos would make great progress in his life.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, George Stephanopoulos grew up in Ohio, and graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Political Science.

He began working for congressman Ed Feighan, but at the urging of his father, he eventually returned to school on a Rhodes Scholarship, and earned his M.S. in Theology from Balliol College in England. He returned to working for Feighan, and then began working for politician Michael Dukakis.

He became as household name as part of the campaign planning committee for Bill Clinton’s successful presidential campaign in 1992. He served as press secretary for six months, but after making several mistakes, he was appointed to the position of Senior Advisor on Policy and Strategy.

He left the White House in 1996, and went on to publish a best-selling book about his experience. He has since launched a successful host and anchor career.
