28th Annual Greek Festival in Galveston

The 28th Annual Greek Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Greek Orthodox Church, at 1824 Ball St., in Galveston.

The event, sponsored by the Galveston Island Greek community, is a celebration of the Hellenic culture and features food, wine, pastries, gift items, Greek dancing and entertainment by Alex Kalos — The Golden Greek.

Admission is $4 per person and free for children 12 and younger.

Proceeds will benefit the church’s Hurricane Ike Recovery Fund.
