New Church Blessed In Roseland in New Jersey

The Church of Ss. Nicholas, Constantine and Helen was blessed in Roseland on Sunday morning. The Blessing Ceremony was presided by Metropolitan Evangelos with more than 200 parishioners attending.

Worshipers entered the new church for the first time and Metropolitan Evangelos stressed the significance of the church to the individuals and families of the community.

The new church marks the unification of Saint Nicholas of Newark, the oldest Greek Orthodox congregation in New Jersey, and Ss. Constantine and Helen of Orange which merged in 2005 after facing diminishing attendance.

The church complex was created to serve parishioners who moved out of cities and into suburbs in Essex, Morris, and Passaic counties.
