National Hellenic Student Association Sends Back to School Message

The Board of Directors of the National Hellenic Student Association issued a statement to all students returning to school this fall. The message of encouragement was addressed to all members and supporters.

“Success in achieving our goals will come from cherishing what it means to be students of Hellenic descent. It is in the Hellenic tradition to aspire to perform at the peak of ones ability, as well as to overcome life’s challenges with resilience, and humor, and grace. In the interest of maintaining this tradition, we encourage all students of Hellenic descent to work diligently and passionately towards achieving their goals as they commence or continue their education in the 2011-2012 academic year.”

The NHSA of America, based  in Cleveland, OH is the network of the Hellenic Student Associations across the United States. By linking all the Greek, Greek-American and Cypriot students of the American educational institutions the organization can promote ideas and projects and enrich the Hellenic spirit on campuses nationwide.

Their vision is to build a strong and efficient entity with members and supporters that receive and add value to the organization. To achieve this goal they act as representatives of our country and our universities, ambassadors for Hellenism and Παιδεία (Education), which to them, are two identical concepts.
