Pan-Cretan Association of America Stands Firmly on the Side of Crete

The organization of programs for the promotion of Crete in America, in collaboration with the island’s local authorities, the attraction of younger generations of Cretans in Diaspora activities, and the support of programs for vocational orientation and education, are listed among the immediate priorities of the new President of the Pancretan Association of America (PAA), Giannis Mannos (Ioannis Georgiou Manoukarakis).
In this capacity, Mr. Manos will be holding a series of meetings, on the sidelines of the World Council of Cretans, from July 30th until August 16th, with Archbishop Irineos of Crete, Local Authority leadership, and Deans and Chairs of Higher Education and Research Institutes.
Mr. Manos, originating from Vilandredo, Rethymno, was unanimously elected PAA President during its 42nd Congress, held in June, in St. Petersburg, Florida, with the participation of 550 representatives from sixty associations of the organization, the second largest in the United States.
