Offensive Campaign Against Greece Appears in Washington, D.C.

A number of ads at various stations and bus stops in Washington, D.C. discredit Greece as they use the country as a bad example which people should not follow. The slogan on the huge signs is “Next Stop: Greece, Don’t raise the debt ceiling without cutting spending” and “Next Stop: Greece. Raising the debt without cutting spending is our own Greek Tragedy”.
The campaign was launched by the Public Notice, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to providing facts about run-away federal spending. Their fourth campaign aims to remind American politicians that the debt ceiling shouldn’t be raised without substantial spending cuts.
The ads will appear for a month, as long as debt negotiations at Capitol Hill lasts.
