Greek Hookset Music Teacher Charged with Sex Assault on Student

Andrew Lalos

Police arrested a Hookset public school music teacher Thursday on three felonies alleging he sexually abused a minor student at two different schools.
Arrested by Portsmouth detective Kristyn Bernier was Andrew Lalos, 34, of 18 Whitehall Terrace, Hooksett, on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. One charge alleges rape, while another alleges that between Sept. and Dec. of 2005, Lalos had a minor female perform a sex act on him at least twice a month at Hooksett’s Memorial School. The third charge alleges a pattern of sexual conduct with the minor at the Cawley Middle School.
The charges allege the victim was under the supervisory authority of Lalos, who was her teacher and mentor.
Police Capt. Corey MacDonald said Lalos has been under investigation by the N. H. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force which MacDonald supervises.
Lalos’ bail was set in Portsmouth District Court at $5,000 cash or surety and $50,000 personal recognizance. He is scheduled to be arraigned August 3 in Hooksett District Court.
