Distinguished Harvard Greek Professors Visit President Papoulias

Two distinguished Greek professors teaching at Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University visited the President of Greece, Mr. Karolos Papoulias. They both stressed that “Greece is not the country of economic crisis and vulgarity. There is also a Greece of culture that should be brought forth.”

The professors’ names are Panagiotis Roilos, Professor of Modern Greek Studies and Comparative Literature at Harvard University and Dimitris Yatromanolakis, who is a Faculty Associate at the Department of the Classics at Harvard University and holds joint appointments in the Department of Anthropology and Humanities Centre at Johns Hopkins University.

In a special ceremony held in Athens, both Harvard Professors will present the Harvard University Greek Culture awards.
