Archbishop Demetrios of America & his Brother Establish Fellowship Fund for Holy Cross Graduates

Archbishop Demetrios of America and his brother Prof. Antonios Trakatellis of Thessaloniki, Greece, have established and funded a fellowship fund in honor and in memory of their parents, Christos and Georgia.
The fund named The Christos and Georgia Trakatellis Fellowship Fund, will offer fellowships to graduates of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, who are planning to continue their studies in the Greek language, Hellenic culture and liturgical practice either in the U.S. or, preferably in Greece or the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.
The fellowship could be part of an established Doctoral or Masters level program, or part of a free program, which should be well structured and clearly defined in view of the purpose of the fund.
Candidates for the fellowship will be selected by a committee including Archbishop Demetrios, the Chancellor of the Archdiocese and the President of Hellenic College/Holy Cross School of Theology.
The award will be based on the merit and needs of candidates. The amount of the fellowship is $3,000 per semester for up to two semesters, totaling $6,000.
