Greek-American schools celebrated the Feast of the Three Hierarchs and Greek Letters Day. The holy Archdiocese of America celebrated the Mass in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, in Manhattan. The Mass was attended by students and teachers of Greek-American schools of New York.
The celebration of the feast started on Sunday morning, with prizes awarded to students who excelled in examinations of modern Greek. On Sunday, Archbishop Demetrios attended the annual event and delivered a speech for the occasion. The Office of Greek Education of the Archdiocese organized a festive occasion where Dr. Maria Prassa gave a lecture.
Additionally, all Greek schools in the U.S.A. organized celebrations, lectures, theatrical plays and sang Greek songs.
