NY Hospital Queens Granted $500,000 from Stavros Niarchos Foundation

New York Hospital Queens has been awarded a $500,000 grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Funds will support the Hellenic American Emergency Medicine Exchange (HAEME) Fellowship for the next five years to 2015. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation was founded by Stavros S. Niarchos to support and promote his vision and interests in education, social welfare, health and medicine, arts and culture. Since 1996, the Foundation has provided total grant commitments of  895,000,000 Euros ($1,200,000,000) through more than 1,900 grants to nonprofit organizations in 90 nations around the world.
New York Hospital Queens is a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System and is affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
