Epirus Folk Art Museum is Largest Greek Diaspora Museum in Greater NY Area

The influence of Epirus’ cultural heritage in visual arts was presented at the art exhibition at the Epirus Folk Art Museum in Astoria, New York.
The museum is the only complete Greek Diaspora museum in the greater NY area.  A recent generous donation was made by the Public Benefit Foundation Stavros Niarchos, according to its Director, Christos Kosovitsas.
The museum is located on the third floor of the Epirotic House in Astoria.  The Epirotic House lies on Broadway Avenue and Crescent Street.
The exhibits are divided into thematic sections, offering visitors an overview of its culture and folklore influences in modern culture.
The greatest number of museum exhitibits have been offered by Greeks from Epirus living in the United States.
In a designated place of the museum titled:  “The Greek – American Experience” portrays the history of the people of Epirus in America along with Epirotic Associations.
