Restaurant Program Raises Funds for Hellenic Foundation

A new program called “Francesca’s Eat & Earn!” helps to raise money for educational programs, like those of Chicago’s Hellenic Foundation.

Founded in 1953, the Hellenic Foundation is a not-for-profit social service organization providing case management, counseling and psychotherapy, plus educational programs, for individuals, couples and families.

Through a partnership with the popular Italian eatery Francesca’s,  they’ve created “Thoughtful Thursdays.” On these days, diners can frequent participating locations for lunch, dinner or take out. When they mention the Hellenic Foundation, 15% of the proceeds are donated to the group’s new educational series.

The second “Thoughtful Thursday” will take place on August 19 at Francesca’s North in Northbrook; Francesca’s at the Promenade in Bolingbrook, Francesca’s Bryn Mawr in Chicago and Francesca’s Bellezza in La Grange.

Among the services of the Hellenic Foundation are Psychotherapy and Counseling for Individuals, Couples and Families, Case Management, Public Aid, Senior Benefits Screenings, Immigration, Notary, Translations, Community Care Program, Information and Assistance, plus Hellenic Golden Circle.

“More exciting programs are in the works, as Hellenic Foundation continues to grow to better serve the needs of the community,” said Executive Director Christina Sofiakis, LCSW.
