2010 Policy Statements on Greek American Issues

The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) announced its release of the 2010 Policy Statements today. The policy statements discuss issues affecting the Greek American community as they pertain to United States relations with Greece, Cyprus, and Turkey.
“We strongly urge everyone to utilize the policy statements to their full potential, educating policymakers and creating awareness of the issues to the greater community at-large,” said Executive Director Nick Larigakis. “The positions presented in the document are in the best interests of the United States.”
The policy statements are approved by several membership-based organizations including:
Hellenic American National Council
Cyprus Federation of America
Pancretan Association of America
Panepirotic Federation of America
United Chios Societies of America
Pan-Pontian Federation of U.S.A and Canada
Armenian National Committee of America

    The recent visit of Tayyip Erdogan to Greece and the so called "twenty one Agreements" that George Papandreou signed with Turkey is a betrayal and a sellout of Greece and Cyprus to Turkey . As a Greek Cypriot ,Canadian ,and European freedom loving citizen I feel ashamed that the so called "Greek" Prime Minister George Papandreou sold out Greece and Cyprus to Turkey , a foe which has committed numerous crimes against humanity and against the religious and cultural heritage of the Greek Cypriots in Cyprus, and Turkey since 1974 to this day continues the 37% illegal occupation of EU Cyprus ,in violation of all UN security council and EU resolutions and in complete defiance of international law. Bravo Mr "Prime Minister"

    George Papandreou you have sold us ALL GREEKS and HELLENISM to the Turkish villains who occupy Constantinople since 1453,and Turkey managed to exterminate millions of Greeks from all Asia Minor ,Pontous, Halkidon.Nicomedea, Effesos , Prousa ,Trapezounda, Smirni, thanks to the betrayal of people like you who claim that they are "Greek",but acting for sake of money and selling out HELLENISM for foreign interests and to Turkey's villains !
