The calendar of Greek related cultural activities at Boston-based universities for April is already underway. Forthcoming lectures, events and other cultural activities this week include:

April 13
A lecture by Maria Koundoura, Associate professor at Emerson College “On Transitional Literacy or Notes from a Modern Poetics” at Humanities Center, Harvard University.

April 14
A lecture by Maria Evangelatou (Dumbarton Oaks Fellow) on “Female Threads of Salvation: The mother of God, the Veil of the Incarnation and the Sevastokratissa Eirene in 12th century Constantinople” at Harvard University.

April 15
An art exhibition by Christos Calivas, “Greece: A journey Home,” [photo] at Merrimack College. Also, a reception at the Consulate General of Greece in Boston for the presentation of the olive wreaths to the Boston Athletic Association for the crowning of the winners of the 114th Boston Marathon.

April 18
An event hosted by the Federation of Hellenic American Societies commemorating 2,500 years since the Battle of Marathon with events.
