Greek American congressman Gus Bilirakis sent a report that explains the reasons of which he voted against the new government health plan. The Republican congressman commented “Today the House of Representatives lost a chance in shaping the health system in a logical and fair way. Instead of taking new measures that will lower the cost of health insurance, Mrs. Pelosi and the members of the Democratic party approved and are working into the reform of the whole health plan, something that will cost trillions of dollars to the American tax payers. This new health reform act will have adverse consequences to the American families, the elder, War veterans.
Details of the results have not yet been release, on how every member has voted in this act that was passed with 219 votes against 212 votes but it was expected. One more Greek American was expected to vote against the act but the other five were supportive of it.
