NYC Greek Film Festival Kicks Off November 5th

A gala opening night screening and reception will launch the third annual New York City Greek Film Festival on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at the Visual Arts Theater, 333 West 23 St., New York City. The romantic comedy “Guinness,” directed by Alexis Kardaras, will open the third annual festival sponsored by the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce.
Regular festival performances will run Nov. 6 – 12 at the Cinema Village, 22 East 12 St., NYC. The festival moves Nov. 13 – 19 to the CineMart Cinemas, 106-03 Metropolitan Ave., in Forest Hills, Queens.
As in the past years, the festival will present an eclectic selection of Greek features, documentaries and shorts. All films will be shown with English subtitles.
