For the 14th consecutive year, the Greek Section of the Ronald McDonald House will organise its annual “Love Marathon” on Saturday, May 16. Together with the Christmas party every December, the Manhattan-based charity is one of the Greek branch’s only fundraisers for which Greek-Americans are called on to support wholeheartedly, sending their own message of optimism and love to the children, who are fighting for their lives.
The Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch was opened in 1987 to provide a “home away from home” for families of children who are ill and undergoing medical treatment, including many from Greece and Cyprus. The House is operated through funds generated by events and contributions from the community.
